The Texas Southern Journal of Media Innovation and Creative Communication (TSJMICC) welcomes FIVEprimary types of submissions:
>> Scholarly/Research Articles: These articles are traditional research studies with a maximum word count of 5,000 words. An abstract is required. (250 words max.).
>> Original Research: This category includes single, empirical, or primary studies that present original research. These are considered empirical or primary sources.
>> Book Reviews: TSJMICC accepts reviews of current college-access-related professional publications. Submissions should not exceed 1,500 words.
>> Perspective, Opinion, and Commentary: This type of submission is written in an editorial format and expresses viewpoints, opinions, reflections, or experiences on issues important to college access professionals. Submissions should not exceed 1,500 words.
>> Literature Reviews: These submissions compile information on current knowledge, including substantive findings, theoretical contributions, and methodological advancements in the field of college access. Submissions should not exceed 2,500 words and must include an abstract.
